BATTLES OF THE THRONE 👸
CHAPTER 1
-A long time ago in an African century there lives the people of Zulu kingdom in South Africa
Right from ancient time of the reign of Shaka Zulu from 1816 to 1828
the first king of Zulu and till present time
they have never been any form of chaos in the kingdom and their community.
Based on the reign of each king who has been fighting effortlessly for his kingdom survivor.
The Zulus are South Africa’s largest ethnicity with more than 12 million people who are mainly located in the coastal province of KwaZulu-Natal.
During the 8th reign of Mazuka, the great grand son to Khosi.
His son fought with a beast who came roaming around the central of the village during the winter period to attack villagers,
he stood out to attack the beast by the training he had learned from his grandfather who was an hunter.
He struggled and fought with all his strength to overcome the mighty beast which eventually got killed by him.
The villagers hails him for his boldness and mighty skills to haul down a mighty beast just like Samson and the lion in the bible.
The people love towards him increase rapidly and was spread around their community,
his greatest achievement got him appointed by the people and his grandmother as the next future king of Zulu kingdom.
He was 25 years when this impeachment was made.
Seven years later,
his father died as a result of cardiac arrest.
The people of Zulu moan their king for days before the priests and the oracle made an arrangement to coronate the next king.
The villagers gathered around the palace for the coronation.
There was entertainment display by dancers, acrobatics team and many excitement parole to keep them entertained.
“Great people of Zulu kingdom!.”
“Great!!!.” They all responded.
“I said great people of Zulu kingdom!!!.”
“Great and powerful!.” They all responded excitedly looking at the priest standing at their front.
“We know this day is one of the happiest and honorable one for everybody including the Royal family (smiling) Our right heir to the throne prince Khoza.
As you all have been aware of his traditional ritual ukungena esibayeni (entering the royal village) which as been done to mark his installation as the new leader of the Zulu nation.
Now it’s time to place the crown of prosperity,
integrity and harmony to our king.
Everybody went down on their knees immediately as the crown was placed on his head.
“Great the king everybody!.” The elder shouted with drums noise of happiness erupting the air.
“Great….oh! King khaso! Great king of our territory.
Khaso stood up raising his hand to the villagers in a smiling face.
“I am so grateful and honored to be here and serve you for better future.”
He walked to the front. Great people of Zulu kingdom!
From now henceforth I released every prisoner and the slave ethnic free to be giving another opportunity of living.
My father had a great legacy and I’m also going to Walk that part.
After the coronation everyone departed to their house joyfully with different snide talk from villagers.
“Can you believe what the king said kante? Why will he order the release of the captive that have been terrorism this village for several years back.”
“Rita, if you ask me, who will I ask.
My mother told me that she’s very sure that king khaso will surely walk in his father part just as he has said.
So, definitely he might have his reasons for freeing those people.
We shouldn’t judge based on what he said,
let his actions speak for his altercation.
“But how is he going to cope with his wives?. kante said doubtfully.
“ Didn’t you see 5 Queens seated beside him?.” She replied.
“Ehn’ I saw them,
but I don’t think there’s anything to be worried about them.
At least he has been living with them before becoming king, so what is there for him not to cope with?
Or you didn’t hear about the rumors of how he got married to 4 women at once?. Kante answered flipping Rita ear.
“I heard, and the last wife is the daughter of Elder khusimo the greatest warrior of our land.” She replied.
“I pray God should give her a child soon.” Kante said in pitied reaction.
“Why did you say so?.” Rita asked surprisingly.
“You know, in the royal family when there’s no male child to inherit the throne it’s a taboo for a female child to become a ruler.
And my prayer to God is to grant Queen Larissa a boy child so that he can be the heir to the throne.” Kante answered closing her eyes for a minute prayer.
Rita tapped her from her wishing dilemma and ask if Queen Larissa ends up having a girl child like the rest of the Queen that what would the king or Queen Larissa herself do.
“Is he going to marry another wife or continues to impregnate them until they have a boy child.” She said laughing to what she said.
“That is what I can’t answer, but let wait and see how it goes. Let just pray for his longevity.” Kante said walking faster than Rita.
“Wait for me kante, what do you mean by we should pray for his longevity? Is he going to d.ie soon?.” Rita asked dragging her to the back.
“Eish! Don’t injure me because of your too much to know.
All I know is that we should just be praying for his longevity. Because do you think it’s all the royal family that is in support of his kingship.” She said whispering into Rita ear.
“ Really? You don’t mean it! Where did you hear this from kante? Have you been walking around the royal palace for you to know about this.” Rita asked persuading her friend not to leave.
“ That’s why you are always ignorant in so many things, both in school and around you. I hope you won’t go around to start spreading what I said because I don’t trust your parrot mouth.” Kante said.
“See me (crossing her heart) I promise not to tell anyone. I swear by unkunlukunlu (God) our creator that I Rita, Tigoro daughter will never tell anyone.” She said to kante in a Amusing way that got them laughing together.
“ngizwe ubaba etshela umama (I heard my father telling my mother) 3 days ago that his uncle wanted to be the king instead of him.”
“Ha! But he’s not the rightful heir to the throne kante.” She answered surprisingly at what she heard.
“That is what I don’t know. Father said while he was playing his flute for king khaso uncle in his house….I think that was last week, he was telling one of the elder that he will never attend king khaso coronation because it’s all cheating.
“chei…chei!! Chei! Now I see why most of the royal family are not complete in the royal palace. hmmm I pray that king khaso will live long ooo.
